First 100 Animals Sticker Book by Roger Priddy

I normally would not review a children’s sticker book, but I have to make an exception for this one.

I have a four-year-old and a two-year-old in my life who love this book. They have to take turns choosing stickers or they’d fight over it.

We’ve enjoyed finding the animal stickers from the back to place on pages where the animals are grouped by categories like Farm babies, Pets, At the Zoo, On Safari, and several others.

They require help at these ages. I’ve had to help them find the stickers to go with each picture so it’s not exactly a do-it-yourself at 2 and 4, though the four-year-old isn’t too far away from that independence.

I’ll look for more of these fun sticker books!

This children’s picture book will be easy to read aloud to the preschool and kindergarten-aged children in your life.

Stott’s beautifully illustrated book is about two best friends—a little girl and a bear. Both share an important quality, which is kindness.

The bear is so big that the other animals are afraid of him. They don’t trust in his kind nature, even when he does kind things for them.

The two friends learn together how to show true kindness and shine the light.

Bash and the Chocolate Milk Cows by Burton W. Cole

Beamer stays at his aunt’s farm for a week and Bash, his adventurous cousin, is full of schemes. This just happens to be the week of April Fool’s Day. Bash doesn’t just plan tricks for the actual day and Beamer joins in on some of the planning.

One crazy prank follows the next as the boys and some neighborhood friends edge closer to their biggest trick of all—getting chocolate milk from cows on the farm!

I have to confess that snagged my attention, even as an adult. How were they going to pull off that trick?

This is a fun novel for elementary children.

One of the grils is thinking about getting baptized as the story talks about in the Farmin’ and Fishin’ Book (other folks call it a Bible) and it starts Beamer to thinking about it too.

The book is geared to children 8 – 12. As a chapter book, it also is a great book for parents to read to their children at bedtime.

I will look for more books by this author.

M is for Manger

I love this book!

The authors take a word from each letter of the alphabet that ties into the Christmas story. For example, “C” is for Carpenter. Joseph was a carpenter.

Each letter’s word is written in a poem.

There is a Scripture reference included with each letter.

This is an excellent book for toddlers through the second grade.

The beautifully-illustrated hard cover book makes a wonderful Christmas gift.

The Silent Noisy Night by Jill Roman Lord

This children’s picture book is a sweet story of the night Jesus was born.

With all the stable animals making noises and the angels singing their praises to God, it wasn’t a very “silent” night at all.

I loved this book and bought it to read to my two-year-old grandson. He loves books about animals and children—I can’t wait to read it to him.

Children up to age six will enjoy this story.

I recently purchased a child’s book to share with my toddler grandson that I have to share with you.

 

God Made You Just Right is a sweet, fun book that captivates little ones!

The rhyming verses have been written with the perfect cadence to capture a listener’s ear.

Written from a Christian perspective, this book explains to little ones that God took special care to make them just right. They don’t have to be like anyone else.

I love the illustrations by Amy Wummer. Such a fun book!

This book will delight toddlers, preschoolers, and kindergartners. What a precious book.

My Bible Animals Storybook by Dandi Daley Mackall

This book is filled with fun animal facts that will amaze your children!

The author shares about familiar Bible stories such as Noah’s Ark, Creation, Adam naming the animals, Jonah and the big fish, plus many others.

Then we read about Amazing Animal Facts such as the size of a blue whale’s heart, the smallest fish in the world, and how dogs sweat.

Included with every story is a section about “What It Means to Me,” a Bible verse, and “Talking to God.”

This wonderful book will appeal to young children from toddlers to mid-elementary grades or any child fascinated by animal facts.

Object Talks for Christmas by Verna Kokmeyer

I love this book for children!

The author has taken many of the common items associated with Christmas and created an easy, fun lesson for preschool children through elementary.

The author uses items such as ornaments, candles, candy canes, cranberries, cookie cutters, holly, pine cones, and many more as interesting object lessons.

With each object is a scripture reference, discussion, prayer, and activity. The discussions are appropriate and useful for parents and teachers.

Included are Christmas crafts or activities that children can do with parents. Some crafts will be easy for an elementary-aged child to create without much adult assistance.

I definitely recommend buying this book for your children and grandchildren. Packed with great ideas!
