A Holly Hollow Romance
It’s Ivy Parker’s job to handle the social media mess caused by her company’s biggest client. Unfortunately, it means she’ll spend Christmas with the demanding woman in a Vermont resort. Her boss tells her to leave Boston quickly due to an impending snowstorm. Ivy gets on the road soon after with Ginger, her faithful dog. Unfortunately, the snow hits en route. She stops at a lovely Vermont town decorated for Christmas, where Ginger immediately bolts. Ivy is invited to stay at a local woman’s cottage while she searches for her dog and shelters from the storm.
Luke Dawson’s new home won’t be ready for another week, so he surprises his grandmother at her cottage. He’ll stay with her for the holidays. He finds a friendly dog wandering in the snow. He takes Ginger to his grandmother’s. The dog dashes into a beautiful stranger’s arms, whom his grandmother introduces as Ivy.
Ivy learns the bridge out of town is closed. She’s snowed in with Luke and his grandmother, who has designs on getting them together…
This contemporary holiday romance reminded me of a Hallmark movie. It’s a feel-good story with likable characters. This novella can be read in a couple of hours.
